IMT Critical Facilities Team Lead

As we rely more and more on IT in our day-to-day work – and for our future plans – the need for a robust, architecturally-aligned and fit-for-purpose IT infrastructure is more important than ever. It will be down to you to deliver it. You’ll be our Critical Facilities expert, heading up a team of engineers and contractors, taking the lead on everything from capacity management, disaster recovery and contingency planning, and engaging with our different services to get to grips with their business drivers, needs and strategies. As well as a degree or substantial relevant experience, you’ll bring IT Service and Project Management qualifications, an expert understanding across a broad mix of technical competencies and an expert knowledge of Critical Facilities design and management.

IMT Critical Facilities Principal Officer

As well as a degree or substantial relevant experience, you’ll bring IT Service and Project Management qualifications, an expert understanding across a broad mix of technical competencies and an in depth knowledge of critical facilities design and management.

IMT Critical Facilities Senior Officer

We need to make sure we have the systems and processes we need to protect our IT infrastructure and ensure it can cope with any eventuality. You’ll have a vital role to play in that. That’s because you’ll provide tactical advice and consultancy on all areas of Critical Facilities, as well as deploying our strategy and architecture. To offer the level of service we need, you should have either a degree or relevant experience along with IT Service and Project Management qualifications. An in depth understanding of Critical Facilities design and management is also important, as is a proven track record in hardware installation, remote support, plus data backup and recovery.

IMT Service Delivery Team Lead

You’ll take the role of service delivery management expert, providing tactical consultancy and advice to make sure we always exceed our standards. We’ll also look to you to take the lead on service definition design, to develop operational policies and procedures, and to take responsibility for our engagement activities in relation to all contracted services across both the public and private sector. With a degree or substantial experience as a Service Delivery Lead, you’ll have an expert knowledge of service delivery, contract design, account management and marketing within a Critical Facility.

Service Desk 1st Line Senior Support Team

Your role will involve providing efficient and effective systems support and administration for all of our general IT systems. You’ll be the main point of contact when it comes to helping people with any technical issues, always aiming to resolve things without referring them to our 2nd and 3rd line support teams. Specifically, we’ll need you to investigate systems, application and hardware failures, diagnosing the underlying causes and thinking laterally to find the best solutions. You should have A-levels or equivalent along with an IT qualification at NVQ level 3 or higher. You’ll also need a Foundation-level ITIL qualification. Experience in systems administration is essential and you’ll know how to communicate, monitor and solve customer service problems.

Principal Implementation Specialist

You’ll plan and deliver the technical components of complex and strategic ICT business solutions as well as leading virtual teams and providing advice and consultancy on technical delivery and standards. A key part of your role will involve making sure our standards and processes are always followed, and contributing to the continuous improvement of Technical Architecture and Delivery teams across the IMT service and the wider organisation. As well as a degree-level qualification (or the equivalent experience), you’ll need to bring an ITIL Expert-level qualification and a thorough knowledge of PRINCE2. Excellent resource management skills are also vital.

Senior Implementation Specialist

As well as planning and delivering the technical components of large-scale ICT business solutions, you’ll need to lead virtual project teams to ensure that our standards and processes are always followed. Your role will involve agreeing project definitions, resource planning and scoping work packages. We’ll also need you to serve as either a Technical Architecture and Delivery expert or as the lead on large implementations. You should be educated to degree level (or you’ll have the equivalent in experience) with an ITIL Expert-level qualification and a thorough knowledge of PRINCE2 or similar. A good working knowledge of project planning tools is also important.

Technical Implementations Support Officer

You’ll provide support to our Technical Architecture and Delivery group to support the delivery of both day-to-day work and specific technical projects – making sure the work is always delivered on time and on budget. That’s going to involve coordinating resource requests, monitoring the delivery of work packages and setting up and maintaining project files. Educated to A-level standard (or equivalent), you’ll have a good understanding of how an ICT department works as well as a knowledge of industry-standard methodologies including ITIL and PRINCE2. We’ll also be looking for a systematic, analytical approach to problem solving and for an awareness of configuration and change management issues.

Transition Specialist

It will be down to you to contribute to the ongoing application of ICT service transition management, providing advice on how we can correctly implement and manage robust, fit-for-purpose technical solutions. You’ll also need to review the use of relevant ITIL-based controls, policies, standards and practices. We’re looking for someone who has a degree along with a business-related professional qualification – or the equivalent in experience. A thorough understanding of ITIL concepts and how to apply them is essential, and you’ll know how to apply project management techniques and methodologies. The ability to mentor, manage and motivate other people is also important.

Asset Management Specialist

You’ll take the lead on our asset management work, ensuring that we have robust processes in place for inventory and stock room management, hardware disposal and software distribution control. Your role will also involve overseeing the day-to-day stock control of our ICT assets and making sure we’re always in compliance with asset management ITIL-based controls. As well as A-levels (or equivalent), you’ll bring a good knowledge of ITIL concepts and an awareness of project management methodologies. Strong Excel skills are also important, and you’ll bring well-honed organisational and team working skills.

IMT TDM Technician

This is all about helping people to get on with their day-to-day work by proving a high level of support for desktop users. You can also expect to support people using other devices, including laptops and tablets. It’s a varied role that will encompass everything from maintenance and installations through to problem diagnosis and resolutions. With A-levels or equivalent along with a good understanding of service management and ITIL, you’ll be confident using Microsoft client operating systems. We’ll need to see a good knowledge of networking and associated protocols and a proven ability to deliver Citrix applications.
